Lunch’n Learn – Enhancing the Visual Design of Canvas

Join us as Matt Hall, from Special Education and Language Literacy, explains how he enhanced his Canvas course using visual design. During the session, Matt will share why he decided a change was needed, how he went about creating his designs and what the student reactions were to his changes. You’ll learn easy ways to add visual elements and where to find images and layouts. The Office of Instructional Design will also make available new resources to assist you in enhancing the visual design of your own courses.

The Office of Instructional Design is accepting proposals for participation in our 20th Annual Instructional Technology Workshop on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Proposals are due by December 21, 2018.
The Annual Instructional Technology Workshop brings together faculty, librarians, technology professionals and staff for a day of engagement, sharing and learning about innovation through technology and instructional practices.
The program committee seeks proposals that reflect and showcase our amazing community of practice. Proposals should be related to technology and instructional practices that will be of interest to others working with students.
- innovative use of technology
- best practices in technology enhanced, blended and online teaching and learning
- increasing and/or assessing student engagement
- supporting student success through technology
- new platforms worth exploring
